The candidate must have a 3+ years of merchandising experience in a mid to high end golf setting, with some time in women's apparel. Private club experience is not required but is a plus. Customer Service

  • Have an understanding of club tournaments and events so you are able to answer all questions from members and guests correctly.

Merchandising and Marketing:

  • Assist the Head Golf Professional in placing orders for the Golf Shop by meeting with sales representatives.
  • Responsible for the flow of merchandise from the point of delivery to the sales floor including: unpacking shipments, checking them in, pricing and displaying in the Golf Shop.
  • Manage all soft good purchases to provide members and guests with the most up-to-date selection.
  • Follow special order procedures including placing, tracking and filling orders as well as communicating appropriately with members relative to each special order.
  • Attend local, section and national merchandise shows, along with educational and professional seminars to encourage development and enhance the image of the club.
  • Develop a quarterly newsletter article about what is new in the Golf Shop.
  • Coordinate unique promotions in the Golf Shop.
  • Help keep a well displayed Golf Shop by folding, rehanging and restocking merchandise daily. The Golf Shop will also be rearranged on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with vendors about what new trends might work in the shop.

Training:

  • Assist Head Golf Professional with hiring of all Golf Shop assistants.
  • Educate additional staff about all products allowing them the ability to answer questions in regards to merchandise.

Experience Required:
