Job Title: Golf Shop Retail Manager
Reports to: Director of Golf
Supervises: Golf Shop Staff
Classification : Non-Exempt
Job Summary (Essential Functions):
Assist Golf Professional Staff with numerous activities relating to the management and operation of the club’s golf program, in particular the retail concession and presentation of the Golf Shop.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma preferred
- Retail experience preferred.
- Golf knowledge not necessary.
Licenses and Special Requirements
Must have a valid Driver’s License and show the ability to operate a golf cart properly.

Job Tasks/Duties:
- Greets Members and Guests by their name and serves as the first contact to their day at the club, showcasing a knowledge of expected service at a private club.
- Assist with merchandising displays and golf shop presentation.
- Take a lead in golf shop phone calls, emails, marketing & communications.
- Shows a basic understanding of daily golf shop operations.
- Abides by the Club’s Policies & Procedures as well as enforcing proper policies when applicable.
- Works alongside other Assistant Professionals to continuously provide high-quality member services with purchases, special orders, event registration, and tee-time management.
- Trains under the Golf Professional Staff to learn standard operating procedures including and not limited to POS, basic phone etiquette, inventory management and ordering.
- Presents Director of Golf with merchandise stock orders seasonally. Will travel to vender shows.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Director of Golf.
- Completes other tasks as assigned by the Director of Golf.
Physical Demands:
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stopping and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $60,000 – 70,000 commensurate with experience
