The Tree Farm is a destination club with 5-Star lodging and Food and Beverage Operations. We will operate from September – June, and the golf course will be closed for maintenance throughout the July & August months. We will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year with paid time off for our team members.

The Lead Assistant Golf Professional (LAGP) operates under the direct supervision of the Director of Golf, assuming a critical role in establishing and maintaining a welcoming, hospitable, and professional environment aimed at delivering an unparalleled golfing experience for members and their guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong service-oriented ethos and a collaborative spirit, demonstrating a dedicated commitment to advancing their career while enhancing the overall member experience. The LAGP should showcase an enduring passion for the sport, coupled with a relentless pursuit of excellence in service delivery, thereby positioning themselves as an indispensable asset to our golfing community. Furthermore, the LAGP will have responsibility for the oversight and performance of all golf shop operations, ensuring efficiency and exemplary service standards are consistently met.

Primary Responsibilities :

●      Uphold the quality standards set by the club and lead by example for all staff members to follow and assists team members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations

●  Be ultimately responsible for the performance and oversight of the golf shop operations

●  Assist in the preparation of budgets, including forecasting and review of all golf revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis with the Director of Golf

● Develop and execute comprehensive buying plans for golf apparel, equipment, and accessories, aligning product selection with customer needs and market trend

●  Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor vendor performance to ensure timely deliveries and quality standard

●  Train and supervise golf shop staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards

●  Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, providing necessary feedback and participating in employee progressive discipline procedures.

● Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and key metrics to management

●  Creates written correspondence including confirmations, follow-ups, thank you notes, and future business solicitations. Skilled in email responses and effective communication in a golf shop setting.

●      Oversee the receiving process and check-in of all new merchandise.

●      Assumes Director of Golf’s duties in his or her absence.

●      Complete additional tasks as requested by the Director of Golf

 

Minimum Requirements

●  PGA Member or Associate in Level 1

●  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or related major

●  Minimum of 3 years of related experience.

●  Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors, staff, and customers

●  Strong knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and course management.

● Willing to further career as a Golf Professional

Valid driver’s license needed
