AGM: Can you tell us about the mission of your brand in the golf industry?
Wendee Lunt of Lighthouse Sports (LHS): I am dedicated to offering designer Pickleball Bags and Accessories that empower women on the court. My mission is to provide everything needed to feel confident, stylish and unstoppable while playing the sport you love. Whether you are a seasoned player or just starting out, my products are designed to alleviate worries about feeling unprepared or out of place.
Every detail is meticulously thought out to organize your game-day experience. From dedicated compartments for essentials like drinks, phone and keys to insulated pockets and fleece-lined valuables pockets, convenience is paramount.

AGM: How do you tailor your offerings for high-end golf retailers versus budget-friendly stores?
LHS: I, the founder and CEO of Lighthouse Sports, have spent my career merchandising and marketing luxury accessories, at brands including Tumi, Coach, and Tiffany & Co. I know the customers, their requirements and the suppliers who can supply the level of quality required for this customer. I have approved every zipper, thread, thickness of coating…every detail of these premium bags. I understand that golfers are smart, value-conscious customers, who know quality when they see it and have been purchasing high-quality equipment and accessories for as long as they have been playing. They expect the best and true value, and they will expect it from the gear they use for pickleball and other racquet sports. Your customers are our ideal customers!
AGM: What’s your most popular product, and why do you think it’s been so successful?
LHS: The Tote bags (Gasparilla and Hatteras) are the most popular because they are sized for not just pickleball but tennis and paddle (Platform tennis). So, the customer can have one in each color for each season and sport or use the same bag for all three. The 900-denier nylon exterior will stand up to constant use, just wipe it clean with water and dish soap. And the functionality – pockets and a place for everything – allow you to load up your bag, and know you are ready to go!
AGM: How do you handle distribution and logistics for your products?
LHS: We have a professional warehouse in Long Island that gets orders out within 24 hours. We can customize the bags with your club logo, embroidered off site and delivered within 7-10 business days. We work with the biggest embroiderer on the East Coast and their quality and focus on detail are outstanding.
AGM: What’s the next big thing for your brand?
LHS: We launched a dedicated tennis backpack this past summer – Loon Island Backpack – in four colors with coordinated trim details, full functionality, and tennis ball zipper pulls, which fit 2 racquets in a dedicated racquet pocket. Never lose your keys or wallet – allow us to organize you!
