Marie Birdie: Empowering the Next Generation of Girls with Golf Apparel

Founded to address the lack of stylish, size-inclusive apparel for tween and teen girls, Marie Birdie is more than a golf apparel brand—it’s a movement dedicated to uplifting young girls in the sport. By blending performance with personality, prioritizing inclusivity, and fostering a strong sense of community, the brand is shaping the future of girls’ golf fashion.

AGM: What inspired the founding of Marie Birdie?

Marie Birdie (MB): Marie Birdie was founded out of a need for size-inclusive golf apparel that truly fits tweens and teens. Finding stylish, well-fitting options for girls in this in-between stage was a challenge, and we knew the game deserved better. Inspired by the energy and individuality of young golfers, we created a brand that blends performance with personality—bringing fun, vibrant patterns to the course while ensuring every girl feels confident in what she wears. Marie Birdie is here to make golf fashion as exciting and empowering as the game itself.

AGM: What sets Marie Birdie apart in the golf industry?

MB: Marie Birdie is redefining girls’ golf apparel with a bold, vibrant twist. We believe that golf should be just as fun and expressive as the girls who play it, which is why our designs are full of energy, confidence, and color. More than just stylish, our pieces are made with size inclusivity in mind, ensuring that every young golfer can find apparel that makes them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to take on the course. Marie Birdie is here to show that golf isn’t just about tradition—it’s about personality, empowerment, and making the game your own.

AGM: How do you ensure the quality and durability of your products?

MB: Marie Birdie was designed with focus on bold style, comfortability, and practicality. Our outfits are made so each girl feels comfortable and relaxed in all motions of their swings. We go through many sample runs from our manufacturers until we get the correct fabric then we have each of our team members wear the outfits in their daily activities. We wash and dry samples to make sure every part of the outfit holds up.

AGM: How do you tailor your products to fit the various needs of golfers?

MB: Our owner and many of our team members are active golfers. We wear all of our outfits on the course and test full range of motion. We do not want to create a piece where the skort is too short or a shirt doesn’t allow for a comfortable swing. In addition, we love to work with girls who are actively competing in tournaments and we get their feedback on what they prioritize in a golf outfit.

AGM: How do you facilitate a good team culture? How does that culture then spill into your interactions with buyers?

MB: At Marie Birdie, our team culture is built on a foundation of inclusivity, collaboration, and empowerment, rooted in our community of West Palm Beach and expanding internationally. We’re a team of women from diverse backgrounds, united by the shared vision of spreading confidence and giving girls and women the opportunity to feel powerful in what they wear. This culture extends into our interactions with buyers, Birdie Bunch ambassadors, and through the events we host in-store—creating a sense of connection and energy that mirrors the values we hold dear. It’s all about fostering a community that empowers and inspires.

AGM: What strategies do you recommend for merchandising your products effectively?

MB: It is very important to showcase how each girl can style a Marie Birdie outfit that feels unique and personal to herself. We definitely standout thanks to our bright and fun patterns, but we know not every girl is motivated or comfortable with those styles. We make sure there is a section for the girls who want a more neutral/softer style. In addition, there are so many fun events in golf throughout the year; for this reason, we love to have a theme or collection that can be merchandised for a big event or tournament (we’re talking about you, Azalea Collection!!).

AGM: What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned in the golf industry?

Three young women laying on their backs on the green. They have their legs crossed in the air and are holding up peace signs. They are wearing similarly colored Marie Birdie outfits and hats. The girl in the center is looking at the camera and smiling.

MB: One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that tradition and innovation can coexist. Golf has a deep history, but there’s always room to push boundaries—whether in apparel, accessibility, or culture. We’ve also learned that inclusivity matters more than ever, especially for young girls who deserve stylish, well-fitting options that build confidence. Most importantly, community is everything. Based in South Florida, where golf and an active lifestyle thrive, we see firsthand how the game brings people together. That’s why our store isn’t just about clothing—it’s a space to connect, inspire, and grow a community rooted in our mission.

AGM: What trends or innovations in golf apparel are you most excited about for the future?

MB: We believe that girls supporting girls in the golf world & pro shops showing up for girls are trends that are on the rise. Golf is such an individual sport that it can be hard to show up to tournaments on your own; we love that girls can immediately bond over an outfit and feel supported by the communities that girls’ golf brands are creating. We also love the trend of athleisure wear like basic tees and joggers entering the golf apparel world.

AGM: Can you share a memorable customer story or testimonial that highlights what makes Marie Birdie special?

MB: One of our favorite memories with one of our customers is when we held our design contest last December. We had a contest with Hilton Grand Vacations that had girls design their own Marie Birdie outfit for a chance to win a behind the ropes pass at the Lake Nona LPGA event. Our winner had her design made into an outfit for her to wear while walking with Nelly Korda. It was an amazing moment for our team to see how empowered this young junior golfer felt in her own design and in comfortable, form fitting Marie Birdie clothing while walking next to her idol.

AGM: What message would you like to leave with AGM members about your company and products?

Marie Birdie Logo which is a hot pink bird of paradise over a yellow circle.

MB: As seen above, our brand is more than just a clothing brand; we are very community driven and we love being a part of experiences that are shaping these junior girl golfers. We want to be recognized for our bold patterns and unique styles but also as a company that is truly showing up for girl golfers. We want girls to use their voices to tell us, other girl clothing companies, and pro shops what they love to wear and what they need for support from us. Styles and patterns may come and go depending on the season, but clothes made to empower and instill confidence in girls is one thing that is here to stay.

Conclusion

Marie Birdie isn’t just about looking good on the course; it’s about feeling empowered and making golf a space where every young girl can express her personality while playing her best game.
