In today’s rapidly evolving golf industry, technology plays a crucial role in enhancing member experiences and streamlining operations. Jonas Club Software has been at the forefront of providing innovative solutions to golf retailers worldwide. With a focus on exceptional experiences and a commitment to continuous improvement, Jonas Club Software is empowering golf retailers to thrive in the modern market.

AGM: What are your upcoming launches or innovations that golf retailers should look forward to?

JCS: Golf retailers will benefit from the launch of our new Management App, especially the Inventory features. Using the convenience of a mobile device, golf retailers can look up and modify inventory counts. The native camera on the mobile device can be used as a barcode scanner to look up items within the inventory module. In the future, the Management App, in combination with the ClubHouse Online Mobile app for members, will receive notifications when club members arrive on property by utilizing Geofence functionality. This type of functionality will help golf retailers offer a high level of service and anticipate the club golfer’s needs.

AGM: How do you see the golf industry evolving, and what role does your company play in this future?

JCS: The golf industry has seen a significant increase in participation over the last 4 years. With many new, and often younger golfers taking up the sport we see technology becoming even more important. Millennials and Gen Z golfers have high expectations for the convenience of booking through mobile apps, engaging with their social circle and sharing their experiences through digital channels. Jonas Club Software is innovating the way private club golfers make bookings, communicate with club staff and stay connected to their club. From a service perspective, Jonas is empowering club staff to anticipate the needs of their members and provide a white glove level of service.

AGM: What feedback from a retailer has significantly influenced a product redesign or improvement?

JCS: Feedback from our clients has been integral to the development of our products since the beginning of Jonas Club Software. Our Online Ordering platform was developed prior to the 2020 pandemic, to help club members order food and beverages while playing golf, so that it would be ready at the halfway point or end of their round. Clubs thought of new and creative ways to use the platform during the pandemic and Jonas Club Software added new features to meet their needs.

AGM: Can you share a piece of advice for golf retailers looking to thrive in today’s market?

JCS: Use the data you have available to you in your club management system or CRM to anticipate the needs of your golfers. Try to personalize the customer experience as much as possible with the data you have available. An example could be asking about a recent purchase or past golf experience to give the customer or member an opportunity to provide feedback.

AGM: What strategies do you use to retain long-term relationships with golf retailers?

JCS: Jonas Club Software has been a long-time partner of the CMAA, NCA, CMAE, CMAC, PCMA, IGCMA, NGF and other organizations. We believe that supporting these organizations is imperative to the health of the club industry and the professionals that serve it. We also continuously improve and innovate our technology offering to meet the changing needs of the golf professional and the members they serve.

AGM: What message would you like to leave with AGM members about your brand and products?

JCS: Jonas Club Software partners with over 1,600 golf clubs in over 20 countries around the world. We help these clubs thrive by focusing on the creation of exceptional experiences. As the golf industry evolves, we are innovating to meet the new expectations of members, offering secure modern solutions and the highest service levels in the private golf club industry.
