Flag & Anthem: Real Clothes, Real Life, Real Momentum

Golfer hits a shot from a sand bunker with sand flying mid-air, wearing a red-striped Flag & Anthem quarter-zip pullover, white Srixon hat, and white gloves, with the Flag & Anthem and AGM Vendor Spotlight logos displayed in the top right corner.

Flag & Anthem was built on a simple belief: everyday clothing should feel effortless, look timeless, and never come with a luxury price tag. After years of designing for major retailers, the founders set out to create something they would wear themselves—authentic, versatile styles built for real life and real people. Today, that mission has evolved into a full lifestyle brand spanning men’s, women’s, kids’, and golf apparel. In this Q&A, the Flag & Anthem team reflects on staying true to their roots, maintaining quality as they scale, and how partnerships like their collaboration with PGA Tour player Keegan Bradley have helped fuel their growing momentum in the golf space.

AGM: What inspired the launch of Flag & Anthem?

Flag & Anthem: After spending over 20 years building brands and creating collections for some of the biggest retailers in the country, we realized something was missing. We wanted to make clothes that we would actually be proud to wear – comfortable, casual, and authentic styles that can easily be dressed up or down and worn for all of life’s occasions. Everywhere we looked we saw options that were overpriced, over-designed, and out of touch with what guys like us really want: to look good and feel comfortable without breaking the bank.

AGM: If you had to sum up what makes Flag & Anthem different from other lifestyle brands, how would you describe it?

Flag & Anthem: We make real clothes for real life. Nothing that’s so fine and pricey that you’re afraid to wash or even wear – just comfortable clothing at an affordable price. We have something for everyone, at every age and as we continue to grow with our women’s and kid’s lines there is something for the whole family.

AGM: What lessons have you learned as Flag & Anthem has grown from a small brand to a full lifestyle label?

Flag & Anthem: To always stay authentic and true to our roots.

AGM: How do you maintain craftsmanship and design consistency as your product line continues to expand?

Flag & Anthem: We have had many of the same core team members since day one in 2016 from design to production to marketing.

AGM: What is your most popular product or style, and why do you think it’s been so successful?

Flag & Anthem: As it relates to the golf line, our MVP Polo has been our biggest success. Retailing for $59.50 it feels and looks exactly like polos twice the price. And it performs just as well, Keegan Bradley can be seen wearing it every weekend on the tour.

AGM: Can you discuss a partnership or collaboration that significantly impacted your brand?

Flag & Anthem: Signing a clothing sponsorship with Keegan Bradley, our very first PGA Tour player for the 2024 season. Keegan instantly gave us credibility in the golf space and as his success and popularity has continued to grow with victories at the BMW Championship and Travelers Championship, to being the U.S. Ryder Cup Captain, the demand for Flag & Anthem golf gear has skyrocketed.

AGM: What trends in golf or lifestyle apparel are you most excited to see shaping the next few years?

Flag & Anthem: The versatility of golf apparel and the elevation of fabrics so that the customer can seamlessly transition to off-the-course activities.

AGM: What message would you like to leave with AGM members about your brand and products?

Flag & Anthem: Members have seen great success with Flag & Anthem because of our price value equation. We offer premium products without the premium price tag.

Conclusion

With a commitment to quality, comfort, and honest pricing, Flag & Anthem continues to resonate with retailers and customers who want style without pretense. From their MVP Polo seen on Keegan Bradley to their expanding women’s and kids’ collections, the brand stays grounded in its mission: real clothes for real life.
