From the golf course to the clubhouse, tasc is an ideal choice for the modern golfer.
AGM: Can you tell us about the inception of your company and its mission in the golf industry?
tasc Performance (tasc): tasc Performance is a family-owned business co-founded in New Orleans by father and son Al and Todd Andrews in 2009. The brand started with a simple idea: to ditch the harsh chemicals and synthetic materials plaguing the activewear industry.
In the early stages of the brand, we were constantly innovating with our factory partner and discovered bamboo fibers as a sustainable and unique solution to the abundance of polyester available.
After years of sourcing and development, we created our first proprietary fabric using a specialized process called BamCo® that blends bamboo and organic cotton to craft our best-selling men’s Carrollton T-Shirt, a favorite across hundreds of pro shops and athletes. The innovative blending of these natural fabrics was subsequently built upon to create the tasc brand library of fabrics that we use for our line today, which includes recycled beechwood, bamboo, recycled polyester, and organic cotton.
Our fabrics offer inherent benefits: they’re naturally anti-odor, offer UPF 50+ sun protection, and contain moisture-wicking properties, all without using chemicals, which is rare to find in our industry. Our clothes provide incredible comfort without compromising the planet.
AGM: What’s your most popular product, and why do you think it’s been so successful?
tasc: tasc is proud to be the foremost golf polo brand on the market to offer a completely chemical-treatment-free polo that still delivers on comfort and performance. Our Men’s Cloud Golf Polo and Women’s Air Polo are crafted from innovative materials and offer a truly exceptional wearing experience.
The secret lies in our exclusive micro-modal spinning process, which results in ultra-soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking fabric. This innovative approach addresses common pain points in traditional golf apparel, providing unparalleled comfort and performance on the course.

AGM: How do you maintain a balance between style and functionality in your golf apparel?
tasc: Our product mix of evergreen carryover styles with new collections is designed to flow seamlessly from season to season and year to year. We want tasc products to be versatile and fit into someone’s wardrobe so they can be used for years to come. Our products are not treated with performance chemicals so the properties last for the life of the garment. All of our details and trims are engineered into the product in thoughtful and functional ways. We strive to give the wearer everything they need and nothing that they do not.
AGM: What’s the process of developing a new product from idea to market?
tasc: As we start the design and development process for a season, we reflect on previous seasons and examine what worked, what didn’t, what’s a new problem to solve, and what hasn’t yet been done in the industry. We take feedback from our customers, account buyers, and our pro golf partners. With their feedback, we figure out what new styles to build from the ground up and what styles could use some evolution. Our design team takes inspiration from a multitude of sources to create our seasonal prints and colors which we expand on every season. This gives us the unique opportunity to continually innovate and elevate fabrics and truly offer a different experience to the customer.

AGM: How does sustainability factor into your product design and manufacturing processes? AND How do you ensure ethical practices in your supply chain?
tasc: Every day we’re in pursuit of better, both for the planet and its people. It’s the core of what we do, and it starts by sourcing sustainable materials and ensuring responsible production at every step in the process.
Our search for the right production partner sent our co-founders around the globe where they met a family-owned factory in southern India. 24 years of collaboration, invention, home-cooked meals, and birthday celebrations later, we continue to inspire one another and grow together.
Our factory partner is GreenCo® Gold Certified for the highest quality factory standards:

3. The renewable energy our factory generates is used to also power surrounding towns.
4. 95% of the water used is recycled & reused in production (5% is evaporation).
-
- Did you know that one cotton T-shirt can require as much as 2,720 liters (718 gallons) of water to produce? That’s nearly 3 years of drinking water for 1 person!
5. 80% of our products are made with natural or recycled fibers
From the start, we have been industry pioneers in fair and empowering factory workplace practices that include:
1. Higher Wages: We provide 18% higher wages than the local average.
2. Healthcare: Free for all employees and their families (over 500 people).
3. Housing & Food: Subsidized on-site living quarters and meal programs.

AGM: What partnerships or collaborations are you most proud of?
tasc: We are quite proud of our long-standing relationships with premier destination resorts across the country. The famous Breakers of Palm Beach, FL was an early believer in the tasc brand and it’s been gratifying to see the relationship develop and grow over the years. The loyal support of such a world-renowned property and leader in retail merchandising provides us with the energy and confidence to pursue similar partnerships.
AGM: How do you see the golf industry evolving, and what role does your company play in this future?
tasc: The golf industry is undergoing a transformative shift, driven by a younger generation of players and a focus on sustainability. We see an increasing demand for high-performance, eco-friendly apparel that seamlessly blends style and function.
tasc Performance is at the forefront of this evolution. Our commitment to sustainable materials and innovative fabrications resonates with the modern golfer. We offer a range of apparel that not only enhances performance on the course but also reflects a conscious lifestyle.
